ANGEL DELIGHT RESIDENCY – YAMUNA FORZANI
The Angel Delight Residency surrounds the concepts and ideologies of Yamuna Forzani’s Utopia III Ball . During 13- 16 September there will be a week of performative training camps, a series of workshops that give a deeper understanding and context of the ballroom scene. The climax of this residency will be Yamuna Forazni’s fashion show on 24 September. This show will give an insight into the magical world of ballroom and showcase Forzani’s latest collection.
Yamuna Forzani is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from the UK, who graduated from The Royal Academy of Art. She is also a member of the ballroom scene as a member of Rotterdams Kiki House of Angels and internationally a member of the House of Comme Des Garcons. The first Utopia Ball x Fashion Show took place in 2018 in the Hague.

13 September → 18:00 – 21:00 | Bizarre Workshop by Yamuna Forzani
Yamuna Forzani aka Yamuna Angels Garcon is hosting a bizarre workshop in preparation for the ball, the category is calling for ‘Garbage Island’. “Collect all your garbage and make a bizarre effect inspired by the harrowing truth that is GARBAGE ISLAND.

14 September – 18:00 – 19:15 | Sensual Body Empowerment and Runway
Mystique Angels Garcon will give a sensual body and empowerment class.
In the ballroom scene she walks Sex Siren as her/their main category.
Sensual body empowerment is a class which you will be guided to look at yourself and experiment with your body dropping bit by bit veils and smoke of illusions, oppressive criterias that society and dominant cultures imposed on us dictating what’s sensual or sexy should be to conveniently profit on our frustrations that conceal the ultra powerful and sensual beings that we are.

14 September 19:30 – 20:45 | Makaba Garcon will give a European Runway class
For the runway class we have the incredible Makaba Garcon. Makaba Garçon is one of the best known runway divas from the Netherlands. She always shows her magic just by being there. Fierce, handsome, shady, beautiful!
She will teach you the basics of European Runway. The feminine way of walking runway in the Ballroom scene.
15 September 18:00-19:15| Old Way Vogue with Seven Angels
Old Way, The Only Way! formerly also known as pop dip & spin or performance, is the first voguing style.

15 September 19:30-20:45 | New Way with Miila Angels Prodigy
New way is one of the three performance categories in Ballroom. This style is characterized by clear lines, sharp movements and impressive poses. For this workshop we have Miila – a voguer originally from Finland now residing in the Netherlands. She is part of Kiki House of Angels and Legendary House of Prodigy.

16 September 18:00 – 19:30 | Drags Make Up class by Maybelline Angels Garcon
In this masterclass, you will learn how to cover your eyebrows and create a beautiful drag eye look. If there is time you can learn other techniques from Maybelline – all makeup skill levels are welcome!

Vogue Femme is a performance dance class that is all about femininity and feeling your inner cunty femme energy! For this class we have the honour to present Typhoon Angels Prodigy, who will give you a history of the category and go through the 5 elements of vogue; Hands, catwalk, duckwalk, floor performance and spins & dips! All levels are welcome, bring sporty clothes and sneakers / heels with ankle support.

24 September → 20:30 – 22:00 – Fashion show by Yamuna Forzani
Yamuna Forzani presents Angel Delight!
For the climax of this residency, Forzani will showcase her newest collection, which will be in the form of a presentation in collaboration with her Kiki House- The Kiki House of Angels. This show will celebrate her community and their artistry in true Forzani fashion, with a mix of dance, acting, runway and lots of campiness.
