New Way Vogue – Angel Delight Residency

Miila is a voguer originally from Finland now residing in the Netherlands. She is part of Kiki House of Angels and Legendary House of Prodigy and is therefore known as Miila Angels Prodigy. Her main categories are Newway and European Runway.

Newway is one of the three performance categories in Ballroom. This style is characterized by clear lines, sharp movements and impressive poses. Precision style and grace, darling! This is also what we will be diving into in this workshop.

You will be required to wear a mask while moving in the space.

The Angel Delight Residency surrounds the concepts and ideologies of Yamuna Forzani’s Utopia Ball. During 13- 16 September there will be a week or performative training camps, a series of workshops that give a deeper understanding and context of the ballroom scene. The climax of this residency will be Yamuna Forazni’s fashion show on 24 September. This show will give an insight into the magical world of ballroom and showcase Forzani’s latest collection.

Yamuna Forzani is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from the UK, who graduated from The Royal Academy of Art. She is also a member of the ballroom scene as a member of Rotterdams Kiki House of Angels and internationally a member of the House of Comme Des Garcons. The first Utopia Ball x Fashion Show took place in 2018 in the Hague.
