For the runway class we have the incredible Makaba Garcon. Makaba Garçon is one of the best known runway divas from the Netherlands. She always shows her magic just by being there. Fierce, handsome, shady, beautiful!

Don’t come on her path because she will be stepping over you. She is one of the leaders who cares about her people and is always in for a good talk.

She will teach you the basics of European Runway. The feminine way of walking runway in the Ballroom scene.

European runway is a category in ballroom that is all about showing off how you walk. European runway takes inspiration from 90s supermodels and runway divas. Makaba will teach you about postures, posing and all things runway.

Get your pumps and boots. Show your best outfit and come learn the ins and out of this category!

You will be required to wear a mask while moving in the space.

The Angel Delight Residency surrounds the concepts and ideologies of Yamuna Forzani’s Utopia Ball. During 13- 16 September there will be a week or performative training camps, a series of workshops that give a deeper understanding and context of the ballroom scene. The climax of this residency will be Yamuna Forazni’s fashion show on 24 September. This show will give an insight into the magical world of ballroom and showcase Forzani’s latest collection.

Yamuna Forzani is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from the UK, who graduated from The Royal Academy of Art. She is also a member of the ballroom scene as a member of Rotterdams Kiki House of Angels and internationally a member of the House of Comme Des Garcons. The first Utopia Ball x Fashion Show took place in 2018 in the Hague.
