Fem Fest 2024 – Sunflowers DJ workshop

Sunflowers is a series initiated by Operator Radio, aiming to empower and celebrate women and non-binary individuals within the music and cultural industry. They do this via workshops, panel talks, screenings and radio streams, creating a platform and community for sharing knowledge, networking, and gathering.

So collaborating with them for Fem Fest is only a logical step! Please note: This workshop is now fully booked.
The Sunflowers DJ workshop will be given by Operator resident Arrocha and DJ/programmer Krismika, and will be from 13:00 to 15:00.

ABOUT FEM FEST 2024

Some traditions are worth holding on to. That is why WORM celebrates International Women’s Day with our annual festival around the 8th of March.

We celebrate to remember the years of struggle and fight for justice for women and LGBTQ+ people. There is still so much to improve today, and we are far from having equal rights: a UN press release disclosed that in 57 countries almost half of the women are denied autonomy over their own body. And all over the world LGBTQ+ people experience harassment on a daily basis.

This year, WORM focuses on one of the most powerful means of change: sound. We invite you to indulge in the Feminist Frequencies of the Fem Fest 2024. These frequencies will oscillate and vibrate, through soundwaves, radio waves, and the voice – making sure that we amplify the voices that need to be heard.
