VACATURE: ICT Employee

WORM is looking for an ICT Employee (scale 5) for 12 hours per week, preferably starting on 1st of July, 2024.

ICT @ WORM
In the coming years, WORM will further integrate and automate various ICT applications and information flows. Working with Google Drive, gaining knowledge about artificial intelligence, and developing API connections are important parts of this. We will also continue to ensure the security of our data and anticipate possible risks and opportunities. You have an important role in this, functioning as our Data Protection Officer.

Tasks:

  • Managing, maintaining and optimizing simple ICT systems;
  • Maintain contact with service departments for more complex systems;
  • Managing our network (UniFi);
  • Co-developing ICT policy;
  • Support effective use of software; 
  • Preventing and eliminating disruptions;
  • Maintaining contacts with suppliers;
  • Protecting our WORM’s data as Data Protection Officer;

Job profile:

  • You have an affinity with WORM and our objectives;
  • You can work independently;
  • You have a practical education (MBO), but can/want to develop ICT policy at a strategic level. Or, you have a theoretical education (HBO/WO), but have experience in practically carrying out tasks;
  • You see opportunities for the development of safe and efficient ICT systems;
  • You combine a DIY mentality with current knowledge of relevant ICT developments. This means you know exactly what WORM can best do itself or what we should outsource;
  • You have knowledge of various ICT applications including Google Apps, Ubiquiti UniFi, Synology DSM, website management, DNS, Linux, including Apache, Windows and MacOS, or you are willing to acquire this knowledge within a short period of time;

WORM is an independent and forward-thinking cultural venue that has a unique,  and inspiring presence in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and the world.

We occupy a distinctive position in the cultural world thanks to our hybrid and decentralised approach, and the space we give to transdisciplinary artists. WORM has a strong reputation as an experimental culture house for music, film, club, art, talk, community and performance programmes.
