The Doom Generation (1995) is a black comedy thriller film co-produced, co-edited, written and directed by Gregg Araki, and starring Rose McGowan, James Duval and Jonathan Schaech. The plot follows two troubled teenage lovers who pick up an adolescent drifter and embark on a journey full of sex, violence, and motel rooms. The characters Amy Blue and Jordan White are based on the Mark Beyer comic strip "Amy and Jordan".

Billed as "A Heterosexual Movie by Gregg Araki” it marks the second installment of Araki’s Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy, a significant contribution to the New Queer Cinema genre, which will be shown in its entireity at WORM: Totally Fucked Up will be screened on 27 March and Nowhere on 24 April.
