FEM FEST 2026 – PREVIEW - Worm - A Rotterdam based organisation working at the intersection of culture and arts.

Fem Fest is a platform for workshops, discussion, and sharing of art during the week of International Women’s Day.

As our shared realities in The Netherlands and across the globe demonstrate an increasing need to fight for rights for our lands, our bodies, our beliefs, Fem Fest 2026 stands in solidarity with people who refuse to accept dominant systems (patriarchy, racism, ableism, capitalism) from within their communities. With increasing attention to gender based violence in The Netherlands we highlight the people in our city and elsewhere who are showing many ways to “resist with tenderness”, provide a counterweight by creating inclusive, supportive environments for FLINTA people to get together, learn new skills, express themselves, and grow in confidence from intersectional perspectives. By highlighting these community builders that work towards making safer spaces, we support and recognise the work which happens behind the scenes.

Featuring Zahra Haji Fath Ali Tehrani (UK), the Sunflowers DJ project by Operator, Rosa Opstelten, Feminist Hack Meetings, Draga Dina, Women Connected, Feministas en Rotterdam, Rhythms of Resistance, Queer Gym, plus DJs Redwoods, CTRL-K and Susan Goldman.
