Sampling and Wavetable Synthesis

In the diverse world of sound synthesis, sampling, and wavetable synthesis stand out for their unique approaches to sound generation and manipulation. Sampling involves recording and playing back audio files (samples) at different pitches and speeds, while wavetable synthesis uses a collection of single-cycle waveforms (wavetables) to create dynamic and evolving sounds. This lesson explores the principles behind these powerful techniques, offering insights into their capabilities and applications in music production.

A complete beginner. No previous experience is needed.

These sound design workshops are every Sunday between 12:30-13:30 until mid June.

Roey will be your guide on this journey. These workshops are based on courses Roey has been teaching at the Design Academy in Eindhoven and Amsterdam University for the past 8 years. The workshops are crafted to your individual level. They are fun, insightful and entertaining.
