SNACKBAR: Huub Prins Vs The Transformers

A very special Snackbar to kick off 2023! Music is our weapon. Sounds from the BeNeLux otherground are served with the following sauces (optional): Improv, Rauw, Nieuw, Anders.

The Transformers project reaches its conclusion with a very special show documenting the work of the last few months of 2022. Now it’s time to show what’s been happening, “undercover in UBIK” since November!

Transformers is a new pop band from Rotterdam that’s all about exchange. The different life experiences of the band members – of people with experiences of and with homelessness – tell a wider story of the city of Rotterdam. The work is backed by the skills of professional musicians. The music made can often tap into a deeper layer of meaning and urgency when combined with those stories and the playing of those who have experienced homelessness. Hence the name, picked by founders Marije van Rijn and Hans Vermunt!

Huub Prins is TE-RUG! Passionate "lovers rock" on a shoestring. A tasteful line in string vest soliloquizing. Hot Sounds from up North: music that’s ripe for an Italo remix. Fans of The Homesick and Yuko Yuko, uh, watch out!
