Footprints is our series of artist-driven interactive live sessions where you can learn the ins and outs of the music industry. From production, studio techniques, live performance and DJ tips, right through to the entrepreneurial side of things like starting a label, releasing music or promoting yourself as an artist. Footprints goes deep on topics from all angles.
Next up on Footprints we have honorary Rotterdammer Ngoni Egan taking us through his heavy-hitting studio setup!
Since making the move from Dublin to the harbour city, Ngoni’s Detroit-influenced tracks have thundered through dancefloors from Berghain to Barcelona, and right around the continent.
If you haven’t already, check his Re Teng EP on United Identities for the full flavour of his Detroit-influenced electro sound.
A devoted hardware-head, he’ll share the fundamentals of his setup and answer any questions you have about producing beats on analog gear. Whether you’re a seasoned pro with racks of synths, you’re considering buying your very first machine, or you have no idea where to even begin, come along and join us deep in the drum machine wormhole!
Entrance to Footprints is completely free but spaces are limited, so sign up today to avoid missing out! Alternatively join via the livestream at www.operator-radio.com and get your questions to Ngoni via the chatbox.
For each session we invite one artist to explore a specific area, and we hand you the chance to ask the questions you’ve always needed answering. Every episode is available for free, keeping Footprints accessible to our entire extended community. Join us in person as an audience member, or stream online wherever you are and send questions to the artist via the chatbox.
Can’t make the time? Don’t worry, we’ll archive and upload every session afterwards so you can watch it back whenever suits!
Footprints is brought to you by Operator as part of our diverse cultural programming to support emerging talent and engage our community in Rotterdam and beyond.
