Sa(d)turn is een muziektheatervoorstelling waarin godin Melancholia zichzelf herintroduceert aan de mens. Ze ziet mensen moedeloos verdwijnen in hun bank of hun zorgen voorbij dansen in de club; alles om maar weg te kijken van haar. Ze besluit in te grijpen. Een muzikale herinnering, voor hen die zijn vergeten hoe terug te veren.

Zora de Vos richt zich als theatermaker op het creëren van interdisciplinair werk, waarin muzikaliteit een onmisbare rol heeft. Ze onderzoekt telkens hoe muziek mee kan vertellen aan het verhaal, waar woorden dat niet altijd kunnen.

De kraamkamer van muziektheater van morgen. Een kijkje in de repetitieruimtes van theatermakers is normaal voorbehouden aan een select gezelschap. O. Lab zet de deuren open! Makers presenteren works-in-progress en laten prototypes zien van voorstellingen. Bezoekers kunnen hun waardevolle mening hierover delen met de kunstenaars. O. Lab in WORM is één grote creative space en jij zit op de eerste rij van het maakproces.

Sa(d)turn is a musical theatre performance in which goddess Melancholia reintroduces herself to humankind. She sees people while away time thoughtlessly on their couch or dance past their worries in the club; anything just to look away from her. She decides to intervene. A musical memory, for those who have forgotten how to bounce back.

As a theatre maker, Zora de Vos focuses on creating interdisciplinary work in which musicality plays an indispensable role. She investigates how music can tell a story, where words can’t reach.

What is O.Lab
O. Lab is the nursery for tomorrow’s musical theatre. A look into the rehearsal rooms of theatre makers is normally reserved for a select group. O. Lab opens these doors! Makers present works-in-progress and show prototypes of performances. Visitors can share their own opinions with the artists. O. Lab in WORM is one big creative space and you sit in the front row of the creative process.
