O. Lab #1 EXIT 32
Woodstone Kugelblitz is een Rotterdams kunstenaarscollectief met een voorliefde voor DIY-geknutsel en volkskunst. O. Lab: Exit 32 vertelt het verhaal van een jonge vrouw die, zoals de hele wereld, in een gigantische toren woont. De voorstelling volgt haar pad en strijd voor de zin van het leven en de menselijke conditie. In deze apocalyptische tijden is de Toren geen ‘politieke’ opera die de absurditeit van onze situatie vertelt, maar eerder een veerkrachtige creatie die tot doel heeft de complexe en paradoxale gevoelens te delen en uit te drukken van degenen die de situatie echt begrijpen.

De kraamkamer van muziektheater van morgen. Een kijkje in de repetitieruimtes van theatermakers is normaal voorbehouden aan een select gezelschap. O. Lab zet de deuren open! Makers presenteren works-in-progress en laten prototypes zien van voorstellingen. Bezoekers kunnen hun waardevolle mening hierover delen met de kunstenaars. O. Lab in WORM is één grote creative space en jij zit op de eerste rij van het maakproces.

Woodstone Kugelblitz is a Rotterdam artist collective who show a preference for DIY, crafts and folk art. O. Lab: Exit 32 tells the story of a young woman who (just like the rest of the world), lives in a giant tower. The performance follows her on the path to understand the meaning of life and the human condition. In these apocalyptic times, the Tower is not a ‘political’ opera telling the absurdity of our situation, but rather a resilient creation that aims to share and express the complex and paradoxical feelings of those who begin to understand where they are in the world.
What is O.Lab
O. Lab is the nursery for tomorrow’s musical theatre. A look into the rehearsal rooms of theatre makers is normally reserved for a select group. O. Lab opens these doors! Makers present works-in-progress and show prototypes of performances. Visitors can share their own opinions with the artists. O. Lab in WORM is one big creative space and you sit in the front row of the creative process.
