Tijdens deze Museumnacht racen we dwars door het filmprogramma van WORM heen met een opwindende selectie korte films. Geëngageerd en wereldvreemd, high & low brow, super saai en tantoe rauw. In- en uitlopen mag! / During this Museum Night, we will race right through WORM’s film programme with an exciting selection of short films. Engaged and other-worldly, high & low brow, super boring and tantoe raw. Dropping in and out is allowed!

TRASH HITS & Ayu’s Autotune Karaoke
In our foyer our radio programmer ASH and Tracy will serve you with TRASH Hits. Trash Hits is a karaoke night for voices big and small, warbly and broke, bold and timid. We want to share a love for singing together in public, with friends and strangers, where all kinds of performances are celebrated. We like to make singing a communal experience, with mural-size songbooks, big lyrics, and priority for nervous and first-time singers. For Museumnacht, Trash Hits de-tunes the city with a Rotterdam Or Anywhere? WORM’s (new) head of programming Ayu will bring her infamous karaoke concept: Ayu’s Autotune karaoke, for the first time into the public at WORM. Together with TRASH Hits they will make an Autotune Special. Songs from or about Rotterdam and city (night) life get bumped up the playlist, and those brave enough can opt for autotune.

‘Fxckboyz’
We invite you to look into the process of the making of ‘Fxckboyz’ by Sharif Noël.

‘Fxckboyz’ is gesitueerd in een nachtclub, waar de drie vrienden Saëd, Noël en Roméo elkaar na een lange tijd weer zien. Saëd wordt dertig en Noël wil hem verrassen op de plek waar ze vroeger wekelijks bijeenkwamen en die in het teken stond van drank, vrouwen en andere verleidingen. De avond verloopt anders dan gepland, en door een koortsachtige samenloop van omstandigheden komen de diepste geheimen van de drie vrienden naar boven. Betekenen de verborgen littekens en onuitgesproken verlangens het einde van de vriendschap? Het libretto van de voorstelling heeft als vorm een ritmische spoken word vertelling. Door de combinatie van spoken word met theater en muziek ontstaat de vernieuwende vorm die we Spoken Word Opera noemen.

FXCKBOYZ wordt gemaakt door Sharif Noël, in samenwerking met WORM Rotterdam. De cast bestaat uit talentvolle jonge Rotterdamse spelers en spoken-word artiesten, waaronder Linar Ogenia, Brooklyn Mozes Mahadio en Amro Kasr.
