Treedt binnen in onze feestelijke en overdadige speeltuin, waar live art uit de tapkraan stroomt!

In onze not-so-white-cube-gallery bezoek je UMARELL ULTRAS, een groepstentoonstelling rond Paul Mogwitz als een lopende conversatie, met o.a. Donatas Tretjakovas, Frederique Jonker, Heikki Saikkonen, Dakota Havard, Ruth van Mourik, Nika Schmitt. Ze vertrekken vanuit de figuur van de Umarell, gepensioneerden die aan bouw-sites staan te kijken, stereotiep met de handen op de rug, ongevraagd geven ze de bouwvakkers advies. Het collectief gebruikt de gallery als theatrale ruimte die in beweging is, en uitnodigt tot interactie, tussen realiteit en absurdisme. In een sfeer van nutteloosheid, kijken we toe van achter een hek hoe recente gebeurtenissen zich voor onze ogen ontwikkelen, zonder de mogelijkheid om echt in te grijpen, behalve dan via ongevraagde kritiek. De tentoonstelling is geopend van 20.00 tot 01.00 uur.

Langs onze RDM Photo Dump hal van Julia Gat duik je onze performance space UBIK in, waar 7 jonge internationale talenten een kersverse choreografie opvoeren, onder de vleugels van Conny Janssen Danst. NEXT is een reflectie op de stad Rotterdam en wordt speciaal ontwikkeld om buiten de gevestigde theaters te spelen. Performances om 20:30u en 23:00u!

In onze club-film-praat-concertzaal stelt Ratri Notosurdirdjo een avond van optredens samen met Shasti, Gabi Dao, XI3LLA, Lou Lou Sainsbury. Personen en half-fictieve karakters vervagen de lijnen tussen metafysische, astrologische, paranormale en elementaire werelden. Vier experimentele werken, variërend van live-stream internetdemonen tot lichaamsloze optredens, vleermuispoppenkast en ijzingwekkende spookverhalen. Voorstellingen om 21:20u en 23:50u!

Tot slot beland je beneden in onze Wunderbar, waar WORM’s finest radiomakers een back2back set neerzetten, die het midden houdt tussen een estafette-wedstrijd en een feestelijke DJ-set. Leer de stad kennen met nieuwe ogen!

In our not-so-white-cube-gallery you’r welcome to enter UMARELL ULTRAS, a group exhibition around Paul Mogwitz as an ongoing conversation, with Donatas Tretjakovas, Frederique Jonker, Heikki Saikkonen, Dakota Havard, Ruth van Mourik, Nika Schmitt. They start from the figure of the Umarell, pensioners standing at construction sites watching, stereotypically with their hands behind their backs, unsolicited giving advice to the construction workers. The collective uses the gallery as a theatrical space in motion, inviting interaction, between reality and absurdism. In an atmosphere of uselessness, we watch from behind a fence how recent events unfold before our eyes, without the ability to really intervene – except through unwanted criticism. The expo will be open 20:00 till 01:00.

Through Julia Gat‘s RDM Photo Dump in the hallway, you dive into UBIK performance space, where 7 young international talents perform a brand-new choreography under the wings of dance company Conny Janssen Danst. NEXT is a reflection on the city of Rotterdam and is specially developed to be performed outside established theaters.

Finally, you’ll end up downstairs in our Wunderbar, where WORM’s finest radio makers will lay down a back2back set that’s somewhere between a relay race and a party DJ set.
