WORM Rotterdam
WORM Central Station
Doors → 20:00
Start → 20:30
End → 23:30

Marion Cousin has worked with the songs and sounds of the Iberian Peninsula since 2016, reinterpreting work songs from Minorca and Majorca or others, from Estremadura, a remote region of Spain, once documented by Luis Buñuel, who was fascinated by its aridity and the isolation of its villages.

Kaumwald is founded by Ernest Bergez and Clement Vercelletto, who also play in trio Orgue Agnès. Ernest is also known as Sourdure, a solo project unearthing French folk songs, with his violin, his voice, and a few machines making coarse sounds in ways that only he knows. The two adorn the songs chosen by Marion with an organic electricity, and together the trio recorded 2020’s Tu rabo par’abanico – Romances de Extremadura. (LDFP / Le Saule).

Line up:
Marion Cousin – Chant, Shruti-box
Ernest Bergez – Electronique, Violon, Percussions
Clément Vercelletto – Electronique, Percussions, Vents

AGAT
Expect a phenomenal rap show from Israel’s AGAT, backed by a live drummer. AGAT looks to forge new ways in rap and hip hop, looking to burn down old assumptions and moribund styles with razor sharp attitudes and a fascinating approach to beat, pitch and presentation. Genuinely exciting and a precursor to something new.
