Blue Sun reflects on the 1984 mining accidents in Northern Taipei and their enduring impact. Inspired by the works of Taiwanese novelist Tong Wei-Ger, the performance explores how these events continue to shape memory and identity. Through 16mm film projections, modular synth soundscapes by Nick Tsai, and live drawing by Chin Meng-Hsuan, Blue Sun bridges literature and performance, exploring the lingering energy of the landscapes evoked in Tung’s fiction.

Viennese video – and performance artist Billy Roisz is no stranger to sound//vision. The experimental powerhouse returns to the festival this year with Lunar Dust – made up of video, electronics, microphones, and cymbals, and featuring her longtime collaborator Dieter Kovačič aka dieb13 on turntables. A synaesthesia-inducing, sense-boggling audiovisual trip guaranteed.
