Like last year, we treat you to a compilation programme with talks, short movies and film excerpts from the world of underground film, B-movies and cult. Because of this year’s theme Bodies in X-Topia, we selected works by female and non-binary film makers who are inspired by alternative realities (bright futures? dark futures?) but also film makers revolting against dehumanizing ideas of what a perfect body should be.

WORM’s Mariëtte Groot welcomes Roxy Woodward, film curator at the BUT Film Festival (B-Movies, Underground and Trash) and together they will guide you on a trip to the underbelly of X-Topia!

Net als vorig jaar verrassen wij je weer met een compilatieprogramma vol korte films en filmfragmenten (en informatieve kletspraatjes tussendoor) uit de wereld van underground film, B-films en cult. Vanwege het thema van dit jaar, Bodies in X-Topia, hebben we werk uitgezocht van vrouwelijke en non-binaire filmmakers, geïnspireerd door alternatieve realiteiten (schitterende toekomstigheden of juist duistere) maar ook filmmakers die de strijd aangaan met de mensonterende ideaalbeelden van het perfecte lichaam.

WORM’s Mariëtte Groot wordt bijgestaan door Roxy Woodward, filmprogrammeur bij het BUT Film Festival (B-Movies, Underground and Trash) en samen leiden ze je rond door de onderbuik van X-Topia!
