Electric Storks

Gene Carl and Wilco Botermans are entities of their own, but also an exciting duo called Electric Storks. For more than 10 years they have kept finding each other in their love of experimental music and extraordinary noises. Gene, born in California, is composer and acclaimed pianist with several awards in his pocket. He studied electronic music in The Netherlands and toured extensively in Louis Andriessen’s group Hoketus. In The Netherlands, Wilco is one of the few experts and professional performers of the Theremin, the famous 100-year old electric instrument played without touching.

Martini-Windisch

Hailing from Brussels, Martini-Windisch is a duo whose unapologetic approach to improvisation involves unpredictability, varying degrees of distortion and a healthy dose of humor resulting in a sound that’s both edgy and tactile. While Martini explores the acoustic spectrum of the saxophone using extended techniques in combination with an array of hardware effects, Windisch works with custom-made pure data patches to modulate and transform signals in real time and send them to four loudspeakers that surround the audience, which adds up to a
dynamic and immersive listening experience.

Josué Amador

Composer, improviser, researcher, and educator based in Rotterdam. The guitar is his true companion. Amador investigates alternative approaches to music composition and performance practices, trying out different forms of improvisation and the use of public space. Amador currently works as a lecturer and researcher for CODARTS University of the Arts and the Rotterdam Arts and Sciences Lab.
