Come to your senses – a poetry workshop

Workshop - Sun 19 January 2025
WORM Rotterdam
Start → 15:00
End → 17:00

often, our bodies already hold the key 🔑 that we’ve been searching so tirelessly for in our thoughts.
in the cold core of january, it’s easy to lose touch with our bodies – and thus, with our intuition and our artistic/poetic practice.
for a hopeful little remedy/refuge, poets elliot waloschek and prerna bajaj will be hosting this workshop from 3-5pm on january 19th.
expect somatic exercises, tactile materials, sensual explorations of memory and fantasy, and synesthetic slips. 🫧
whether you’re a budding writer or an experienced one, or even if you’ve never written a poem before, you’re invited to explore the sensual through poetry – and explore poetry through the sensual.
just SIGN UP via the link and claim your spot.
the workshop is free of charge & and it is open to all levels of poetry writing experience.

ABOUT THE FACILLITATORS:
elliot waloschek (@eliopoet) is a poet, performer and artist from London, currently based in Rotterdam. Fusing myth with mundanity, and intention with accident, his work webs a wet mythology of transformation, other(ed)ness and transmasculinity.

prerna bajaj is a poet and multi-disciplinary artist from Karachi, Pakistan and is currently based in Utrecht, Netherlands. She considers her work to be an ethnographic effort, playing with the boundaries between dreams/reality, presence/absence, desire/grief, and Self/Other.
