We are searching for a new member to join our small, dedicated team! Here’s what we need. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes the arts and the counterculture, somebody who connects with the communities we work with. A person who has a strong affinity with social media and likes to tell and develop stories! Someone who is active, inquisitive and likes to visit – and document – our events. Good English writing skills and a strong sense of aesthetics are a must. Basic skills in Adobe Creative Suite or other editing tools are a pre! If you fit that profile, then we are searching for you!

You will be an integral part of our team, working on actual events with external and internal partners. In this period you will be accumulating invaluable practical experience in the cultural industry.

Tasks:

•  Presenting the programme and vision of WORM Pirate Bay on Social media – writing and posting
• Learning how to work with Stager (the backstage tool of WORM)
• Helping when necessary with updating information on our website
•  Interviewing artists and organisers
• Taking impression photos during WORM Pirate Bay’s events for social media
• Occasionally editing an image or a video

Internship Period: February 2024 – Aug 2024
Availability: Minimum 24h per week
Compensation: 200 euro a month + WORM CARD (Free entrance to events and discount in the bar and restaurant for a year.)

The WORM Pirate Bay is looking for a passionate production intern to join the team! The WPB is focused on community based programs, and we need all the help we can get!

This intern will assist with events taking place in the WORM Pirate Bay- attending meetings, sending notes to artists, and joining events while they take place. You’ll also help with odd jobs— hanging out and helping artists produce work during their residencies, picking up drinks for judges during vogue balls, creating sign up sheets for upcoming events…. the list goes on. We want someone who is passionate, flexible, and self sufficient.

Tasks include:

• attend meetings, take notes, send to participants
• Attend events to help with artist handling
• work in the physical WPB Archive
• Odd and unpredictable tasks associated with being a programmer (running through the city to get fabric, coming up with cocktail recipes, creating table decorations)

Internship Period: February 2024 – July 2024

WORM Pirate Bay is all about unconventional knowledge sharing and artistic production that might not be valued by traditional understandings of high art. We invite local and international guests to share their knowledge in various formats all free of charge to our audience. Currently, WORM Pirate Bay is focused on growing and developing in sustainable partnerships with artists and grassroots organisations. We invest in the long-term trajectories of those artists working in WORM and distributing practical toolkits created by community members.
