Radio WORM Makers: Fucking Good Art Radio

Fucking Good Art Radio: Shelter for daydreams is a (almost) weekly series of field-recordings, excursions, reportages, talks, readings and contributions. How do we want to live? What kind of place do we need for living and working? In a time where time and space are increasingly scarce and expensive and citizens are pushed out of their homes, what alternatives can we find to the dominant forms of ownership, real-estate development and market-driven housing policies? And what can the role of art be in all of this? See also our presentation in the shared space of Melly and TENT. opposite the street in Rotterdam Cultural Histories#19: Homes For People—Not Profit. Till 28 Sept 2021. In selfless service to our community.

Biography

Fucking Good Art is a magazine and editorial art project for field research into local conditions of art and culture by artists/editors/free-style researchers Robert Hamelijnck and Nienke Terpsma. In FGA # 38 What Life Could Be / The ambivalence of Success (2019) they explored the Swiss tradition of CO-OPs as a form of living and working together. Now they try to find out why initiatives for collective and self-organized forms of housing do not gain ground in Rotterdam despite the city’s tradition, the inclusion of CO-Ops in the nieuwe ‘Woonwet’ of 2015 and the ‘Actieplan coöperatieve woonvormen Rotterdam‘ of 2019.
