ENTRANCE VIA WORM SLASH GALLERY Boomgaardsstraat 69, 3012 XA Rotterdam
First Edition is all about Digital Bodies.
The night explores the intimate and sometimes conflictual relationship between the physical self and its digital representation. The submitted works examine how these two are connected: through tension, deep entanglement, or quiet parallel existence.
Can the digital world reflect or even enhance aspects of ourselves that the physical body may lose? Dare to discuss this among fellow film enthusiasts and filmmakers? Then see you on 21 April at WORM. Dont’ forget to bring your own refreshments!
The first screening includes following works: "Dad Galore" (Arnas Rasim), "Pink" (Cheawon Shin), "My pillow book" (Caterina Santullo), "The Institute of Alice Guo Studies (copy)" (Gio Pi, Mac Andre Arboleda, Hsiang Yun-Huang, Ginevra Mazzoni, and NUH PEACE), "A Report on the Banality of Evil" and "Princess Maker" (Juhwa Lee), "Last Exception" (Rosa Zangenber).
Underground Kino Club
A space for underground DIY filmmakers and video artists based in the Netherlands to share their work, talk about it, and build an alternative film community. Facilitated by Riccardo Calandro.
Action, drama, experimental video art, erotica: there’s no limit to what we screen!
Just a few rules: you must be able to attend the screening, no reactive videos, it must be under 25/30 minutes, and has to be DIY (or DIT: collective works are more than welcome) – films with an established production behind them will be immediately discarded.
Come one, come all, and come build this cinematic DIY-underground community!
