Kush Jones
There is no way to neatly sum up what Kush Jones does. Part of that is because the Bronx native is so relentless. Part of it is because he makes music purely for himself, self-releases most of it and therefore depends on no one.

Churning out homemade creations regularly, Kush is most known for Strictly 4 MY CDJZ, his self-released series of Bandcamp exclusive EPs with 40 volumes planned to drop. On his newest project, he takes a more focused approach, and channels his love of house music into a 4-track 12” vinyl release on Washington DC-based label Future Times, out later this year. Whatever the tempo might be, Kush Jones provides a fresh take on the various areas he choses to work in, with a genuine respect for the craft and history of dance music, and a strong ear for sounds both current and yet to come.

He is just as flexible as a DJ, threading together Black music from across a global spectrum that can take in the sounds of Baltimore, Detroit and Jersey in the same set.

Raised on a healthy diet of Reggae ,Dub and West African music, Rotterdam’s SAMWHO knows a thing or two about rhythm and bass. Identifying these influences in futuristic club tracks from the likes of Well Street Records and Livity Sound to Sacred Rhythm Music and Principe Discos, he taps into a musical lineage that traces back to his Cape Verdean roots.
