WORM invites you to feel the power and joy of standing together against dominant systems, by giving free play to the senses and to co-creation.

Fem Fest is WORM’s annual event celebrating International Women’s Day (8th of March). That’s why WORM’s Museumnacht010 orbits around the many good things feminist activism has achieved, and what still remains to be done. The night is an enticing place to explore and enjoy, but not always for women and queer beings.

Visit Sparks of Resistance, an immersive installation highlighting the people in our city and elsewhere who “resist with tenderness”. With increasing attention to gender based violence in The Netherlands we show examples of both situated and nomadic communities providing a counterweight by creating inclusive, supportive environments for FLINTA people to get together, learn new skills, express themselves, and grow in confidence.

Throughout the programme we invite you to immerse and rise into DRADADINA’s world of textures, materials and their empowering freedom.
About DRAGADINA: "Cold wind from the North Sea licks the flag on top of the castle. The flag reads ‘DRAGADINA’ and everybody inside is warm, a lil’ sweaty, and dancing to bubbling music The air inside the castle is thick with 10,000 kisses and steam from the sewing machines. Here, DRAGADINA strings together all sorts of cloth, trinkets, metals, and deadstock materials – turning them into wearable creatures capable of possession and enchantment. Every piece is a colorful companion that compels the wearer to love, cherish, and experiment with different expressions of the self. DRAGADINA is a master seamstress. Coming from a lineage of poppendokters (doll doctors), their work is, at its core, a healing art. Much of their raw materials come from secondhand garments, textiles found in public space, pre-loved stuffed animals, and materials about to be thrown away. Through the power of intuition, ancestral memory, luck, joy, grief, and love, they re-assemble all things into radiant, playful clothing, costumes, puppets, home interior, accessories, and anything a loving soul will request via DM."

WORM nodigt je uit om te komen voelen hoe mooi het kan zijn om samen sterk te staan tegen systemen van onderdrukking, en geeft vrij spel aan de zintuigen en aan co-creatie.

Fem Fest is WORM’s jaarlijkse event rondom International Women’s Day (8 Maart). Daarom draait het bij WORM’s Museumnacht010 om de vele belangrijke dingen die de feministische strijd heeft bereikt, èn wat ons nog te doen staat. De nacht is mooi en verleidelijk, een plek om te verkennen en te genieten, maar niet altijd voor vrouwen en queer personen.

Bezoek Sparks of Resistance, een installatie die je meeneemt naar mensen in onze stad en daarbuiten die “zich met liefde verzetten”. De aandacht voor gendergerelateerd geweld in Nederland neemt toe; wij laten je voorbeelden zien en horen van communities (plaatsgebonden of nomadisch) die tegenwicht bieden door het creëren van inclusieve en ondersteunende omgevingen waar FLINTA personen elkaar kunnen ontmoeten, leren, en zelfvertrouwen ontwikkelen om te zijn wie ze willen zijn.
Daarnaast kun je de hele Museumnacht kennis maken met Draga Dina’s wereld van fantastische textiele vormen en outfits, en de vrijheid en kracht die haar ontwerpen uitstralen.
