TiSiTi: Moment in Time: Sustained

There is no permanence (in remembering). We are continuously transformed by the tremble of the traces of our past meeting our tomorrow… At the beginning, in a resonant industrial space, three voices sang loudly and courageously. Their frequencies/harmonies were captured on reel-to-reel tape and later spun around a dark-lit room. Passing by in loops over metal hooks and surfaces of the walls, the tape kept degrading and the sound changing…

The cassette we present to you is our attempt at sustaining a moment in time that was once a live performance and another time a site-specific installation (WSOA, Brutus, 2025): today we find another form in a live performance of voices and tape reeling the present in.

TiSiTi is an international fem collective of three artists: Tara Reece, Ceola Tunstall-Behrens and Tisa World. Together they combine their practices of composition and performance, grounded in experimentation and vocal improvisation. They co-compose and perform with bodies, voices and language in site-specific situations. With their shared love for collective sounding they bring fun, empowerment and community into the space of sound.
