THEY: FUCK THE BINARY

On September 24th Queer Rotterdam tells the binary to FUCK OFF!

Tonight we invite all the queers who couldn’t hide if they wanted to, all the gender freaks, the weirdos and their lovers. When the doors open at 20:00, we ask you to shed all notions of being cool, dance to more than just techno, and party with the Queers of Rotterdam. This night we celebrate all non-binary, gender non-conforming folks people and all they have to offer.

This is a safer space party for people of all genders or non-genders, of all shapes and backgrounds. We call it a safer space party because in a world that is inherently racist, queerphobic, sexist, ableist, etc. It is impossible to guarantee complete and total safety. That being said we will have floor angels (Easily identified and trained community members) all over the dance floor and at the doors to ensure the party guidelines are being respected and supporting party goers should they need anything.

We explicitly host this party for transpeople, genderqueers, nonbinary people, gender non-conformists, genderfluids, non-genders, a-genders—in short all non-cis gendered. Allies, friends and family (cis-gendered people) are very welcome, but we do ask you to respect the fact that this is an area especially created for those who might experience difficulties with being safe in other public areas. Please educate yourself (google the words in this text) if needed before you go, and read our intentions at the door.
