ABOUT THE SOUND
Nico:) will start the evening by doing an immersive live performance around their new audiovisual EP Maas Milieus. “This EP is a result of a three year stay in Rotterdam. A collection of pieces inspired by my time in this city, I try to reflect through them on how it feels and what it means to exist today. In it I combine field recordings, electronic improvisation, and my works in the contemporary concert music field – to create vivid, psychedelic sound collages. The result falls within the genres of experimental, ambient and/or noise music. It was recorded throughout different locations in town (Hoflaankerk, de Doelen, WORM, Feijenoord …) and feature collaborations with different artists.
Followed by Nico, REDWOODS will be playing a live performance built around her newly released EP A Mirage to celebrate the release. She blends synth-heavy soundscapes, drum machine-driven rhythms, degraded atmospheric textures, and live vocals. Her sonics move between ethereal and dreamy to gritty and dark realms. Her sound draws inspiration from leftfield club, darkwave, electro and UK electronic experimentalism. *"A Mirage is my second release. It came from a period of longing, of chasing something that always felt just ahead and out of reach, not even knowing if it truly existed…and eventually finding meaning in the journey there." *
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
REDWOODS is a Portuguese music artist, producer and songwriter based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Her sound blends leftfield electronic and dance genres, moving into experimental and ambient territories. She founded the label Below The Waves, where she released her debut album Rapture in late 2024, and will release her new EP A Mirage in March 2026.
Nico:) is a music artist based in Delft. “This is my first release. Making it, I realised that my work is only possible thanks to a big network of awesome people that guided, and cared for, me. So now I make sounds to connect with those around me. I want more people to feel the empowerment and healing sound making offers. I offer my sounds and listening as a tool to investigate the world, hopefully inspire a better one. I appreciate those who will listen, and I invite you to listen more, to everything else.”
