ACT 1 – Boys Won’t Be Boys by gezelschap: o.l.v. Rikkert van Huisstede

Boys Won’t Be Boys is een wervelende collage van jongens en mannen*. Ze zingen, dansen, dichten, grappen, rappen of vertellen, in wisselende samenstelling, over hun persoonlijke levens. Ze laten zien dat het stoer is om je (als man) kwetsbaar op te stellen. Deze theaterhappening met echte mensen was vorig seizoen overal uitverkocht en opende vele ogen. "We mogen er trots op zijn dat we open zijn, lief of flamboyant. De verschillen tussen mannen en vrouwen zijn lang niet zo groot als we onszelf wijsmaken." aldus de ontwapenende initiator Rikkert van Huisstede.

ACT 2 (TALK SHOW) – LEENDERT

You tend to ask me: What am I?; referring to my career, religion, politics, sexuality, gender. My answer: I am a Mother. Leendert Vooijce, interdisciplinary performance artist and writer. Leendert positions themselves next to you, opposite from you, or beside you; within the restrictions of language and understanding. Their work playfully tilts reality to create a space of alternative and continuous motion. Throughout this process, Leendert uses personal life and its performativity as a guideline. In which they always look to poetically intervene in daily life. Leendert’s work simultaneously is hyper-personal and socially engaged.
