To offer a bit of closure to this year, Pantropical present an online streaming event from WORM. In contrast to our previous event in July, in talk show format, this event will solely offer three high-octane dance sets and visuals galore. However stopgap, the main purpose is to do our part to try and keep culture alive. Join us as we joyfully limp towards the new year!
The event stream link will appear here shortly.
De Schuurman (NL | aka God Full Effect)
In the mid-noughties, The Hague-based producer Guillermo Schuurman made a name for himself in the Dutch club circuit as ‘De Schuurman’. People were freaking out to his frenetic bubbling tracks like ‘Nu Ga Je Dansen’ at (meanwhile defunct) Rotterdam clubs like Club Hollywood. Whereas Guillermo’s current God Full Effect alias is about his versatility as a producer, the late 2000s sound of De Schuurman occupies the musical twilight zone known as Bubbling House, a genre that was also cultivated by his cousins Shaun-D and Master-D, and producers like Anti-G (Planet Mu); layering manic Caribbean drum loops over Fruity Loops synths.
