Prelude op IFFR 2024 door Vanja Kaludjercic met twee exclusieve voorpremières!

Een week voor het IFFR 2024 van start gaat is directeur Vanja Kaludjercic te gast. Met haar IFFR team is een groot en verrassend programma samengesteld en heeft zij de tijd gevonden om speciaal voor Off Screen een persoonlijke prelude op het festival samen te stellen. Kaludjercic, geboren in Kroatië, had sleutelfuncties in de Europese filmindustrie bij onder andere MUBI, CPH:DOX en het IFFR, waar ze de Talks & Masterclasses vormgaf.

Over het IFFR zegt ze: “het IFFR geldt als springplank voor jonge en opkomende regisseurs wereldwijd en ik kijk ernaar uit om die reputatie te bestendigen. Het festival weet het publiek en de filmindustrie met elkaar te verbinden en staat erom bekend dat het makers op verschillende manieren steunt." In Off Screen toont ze een persoonlijke selectie uit IFFR 2024 en gaan we in gesprek over haar ervaringen, na de zware coronajaren en met het samenstellen van een nieuw team bij het festival.

Prelude on IFFR 2024 by Vanja Kaludjercic with two exclusive pre premieres!

A week before IFFR 2024 kicks off, director Vanja Kaludjercic is our guest. With her IFFR team assembling a large and surprising program, she found the time to put together a personal prelude to the festival especially for Off Screen. Born in Croatia, Kaludjercic held key positions in the European film industry at MUBI, CPH:DOX and the IFFR, among others, where she shaped the Talks & Masterclasses.

About IFFR, she says, "IFFR is considered a springboard for young and emerging directors worldwide and I look forward to perpetuating that reputation.

In Off Screen, she shows a personal selection from IFFR 2024 and we talk about her experiences, after the tough corona years and with assembling a new team at the festival. We will also show two fantastic sneak previews. Be welcome!
