Of iets met een tijger?
Fé Baan, 2026, 50 minuten

Wat gebeurt er als twijfel niet als nutteloos, maar als methode wordt beschouwd? Of iets met een tijger? onderzoekt het maakproces van een afstudeerfilm en bestaat uit verschillende lagen: een intuïtieve, waarin de kijker wordt meegenomen in het twijfelen; een documentaire, waarin de ideeën van Fé en die van de crew worden besproken; en een fictieve, met de twijfelende crew.

Joke Olthaar & André Schreuders, 2026, 9 minuten

Een zowel sobere als intense observatie van een kudde koeien op hun jaarlijkse tocht naar de alpenweiden. Rinkelende bellen, geloei en geschreeuw trekken de stoet voorwaarts. Een ogenschijnlijk minimalistische film die bruist van leven.

Off Screen is een avond voor de Rotterdamse auteursfilm en videokunst. In de vertoonde documentaires, (korte) speelfilms en filmische experimenten staat de maker centraal. Interviews maken deel uit van het programma: het artistieke proces, bronnen van inspiratie, het tobben en het plezier komen allemaal aan tafel aan bod. Daarnaast is het een plek om contacten te leggen, plannen te smeden en adviezen uit te wisselen.

Fé Baan, 2026, 50 minutes

What happens when doubt is treated as a method rather than as something useless? Of iets met een tijger? explores the making of a graduation film and is built up in several layers: an intuitive one, in which the viewer is drawn into the doubting; a documentary one, in which Fé’s ideas and those of the crew are discussed; and a fictional one, with the doubting crew.

Joke Olthaar & André Schreuders, 2026, 9 minutes

A spare yet intense observation of a herd of cows on their yearly trek to the alpine pastures. Ringing bells, lowing and shouting drive the procession forward. A seemingly minimal film that teems with life.

Off Screen is an evening for Rotterdam’s author cinema and video art. Documentaries, (short) fiction films and film experiments are shown with the maker at the centre. Interviews are part of the programme: the artistic process, sources of inspiration, the doubts and the pleasure all come up at the table. It is also a place to meet, make plans and swap advice.
