Our first (online) event of the new year will be on Friday, January 8th with Chicago-based filmmaker Chris Sullivan. The time is 19:00 in Rotterdam, which is 12 noon in Chicago (or 10AM in Seattle, 1PM in NYC) or 18:00 in London! I’m super excited to talk to Chris about a film he finds inspiring – his work, especially his 2012 feature film Consuming Spirits, has been a source of inspiration for me!
Chris Sullivan is an animator, performance artist, filmmaker and sometimes musician based in Chicago. He has been creating experimental film and theatre for 30 years. Many of his short films from the first 15 years of his career can be seen on Fandor. He received a Guggenheim Foundation fellowship for his feature film Consuming Spirits which premiered in 2012. He is currently working on his second feature, funded by Creative Capital, called The Orbit of Minor Satellites. Chris teaches at The School fo the Art Institute of Chicago.
