LOCH INN comes to Worm! Currently Amsterdam based (De School), the platform for local music makers aims to further facilitate the exchange of knowledge, creativity and inspiration. Join us in the evening for new live music & talks with the artists. Stick around in the night for some high-energy track selections.
After a string of Open Call events, where Amsterdam based artists showcase their unreleased recorded works, LOCH INN dips into Rotterdam’s music scene, in collaboration with Worm. Here, it will be all about live music in the making. Special guests are Lenxi and Rani Ribeiro, who will present new ideas and approaches for their live shows, followed by an in depth talk, moderated by LOCH INN founder, DJ & music journalist, Margie. Everyone is invited to join the conversation. Lenxi and Ranie’s live sets will be followed up with DJ sets by Kimmah, Lenxi b2b Margie.
Ranie Ribeiro’s artistic journey has taken on new dimensions and disciplines. Formerly known by his DJ moniker D-Ribeiro, Ranie Ribeiro is solidifying himself as a harpist. One of the notable aspects of his transformation is not only embracing the role of a composer, but also as a stage performer.
London-born, Amsterdam-based Lenxi shows us how to mix, sing and play samplers and synths all at the same time. Lenxi’s music is personal and vulnerable, her live-act rough. Characterized by breaks, her childhood Casio, UK-ness and acid, you might also catch a bit of her Chinese-Czech roots in her music.
Favouring higher tempos, Kimmah delivers fast and funky electro that gets the sweat dripping down from the ceiling. With regular excursions into acid, breaks, punk and rap, she matches the grit and sleaze with plenty of bump and grind, for a full body dancefloor workout.
Amsterdam mainstay Margie is an eclectic DJ who seamlessly mixes up different experiences and influences into playful club sets. Raw and unapologetic in her approach, she has a soft spot for choppy beats & infinite groove. Through her platform, LOCH INN (@l_o_c_h), she implements that same playfulness.
