We have something special here, for performers with an interest in public space!
Let september be your deep dive into a body-and-mind stretching research, cause WORM is teaming up with Out of Site Chicago collective to bring you FLOW! A practice-based performance symposium. Read all about it here.
Ok. Now let’s be transparent: the registration fee doesn’t look cheap. Have a look, but here’s what you get for your money:
Registration includes participation in two public performance art workshops with Odun Orimolade & Yvette Teeuwen hosted in-person at WORM, from September 11 to 15, 2023. Lunch, coffee and tea included.
In the next week you’ll receive coaching to work on a performance/creation.
Plus you get access to the full suite of online artist presentations and performance lectures at Flow • embody in site 2023 from September 11 – 22, 2023.
As a workshop participant there is also the option to perform at the Live Art On The Streets Festival program that will be live streamed to watch parties around the globe, 28-29 September, and you can enjoy the curated program on 23 and 30 September.
We are thrilled about all workshop artists and lecturers, it will be an informal but highly professional academy for and with an international community of performers who wish to push their practice and connect both in-person and through technology.
We invited Odun as our international guest teacher because she has the exceptional skill to make activist art live on the street that is touching and connecting because of its humour. Watch the Artist Focus Interview with Odun to see it for yourself!
We also wanted to have a masterclass by a local artist, we invited Yvette Teeuwen because she combines different body techniques to reach (what she calls) bodily sensified openess. Read more about the masterclass here.
You can find the full schedule here.
