Festival Downtown 2025 – Day 1

Festival Downtown is a progressive and idiosyncratic electronic music festival that strongly believes in the power of Rotterdam, its makers and scenes. The festival is known for a high-quality programme full of international headliners and local gems. Festival Downtown has a history of collaborating with WORM to reflect WORM’s history and relationships in the wider electronic and electronically-inspired music scenes.

Unveiling Ceremony and Programme Thys Bioer, Rotterdam Night Mayor
A short inauguration ceremony is planned at WORM during Festival Downtown at 9:15 pm on the Friday 12th.
Said Kasmi, Rotterdam’s vice mayor, will lead the ceremony on the Boomgaardsstraat in front of WORM’s doors. There, Thys Boer will be officially welcomed as Rotterdam’s night mayor. Short performances by activists and clubbers from Roffa’s night culture will add to the sparkle.
