Ex-Machina and Wreading and Riting

UBIK INVASION!

HP’s second-year students take over UBIK on 13th and 14th June 2024.

Engaging in processes of conceptual and sensorial collective transmutation, the students will showcase the outcomes of their journeys within the HP Programs Ex-Machina and Wreading and Riting.

On 13th June, Wreading and Riting students will present a “Wunderkammer of Collapsed Mutant Objects”, creatures that de- and re-contextualize material and conceptual assumptions on objects. The chosen objects are reconfigured to transcend their isolated autonomy, and presented in constellations of meaning-making chimeras.

On 14th of June, Ex-Machina students will present concoctions of shapes, textures, forms, tastes, and smells in the form of “mocktails” resulting from encounters with elements chosen for their potential edibility, and combined through methods of relational negotiation that foreground the material affordances of each of them."
