Vacancy PRODUCTION Internship

The WORM Production team is looking for a passionate production intern to join them!
WORM is a venue with a strong reputation as an experimental culture house for music, film, club, art, talk, community and performance programs. Approximately 500 public activities take place in WORM every year. To make these events happen successfully, our production team works hard on preparing everything from logistics, to time schedules, to hospitality and technicalities and keeping general oversight over all the programs.

The production team consists of two people who you’ll be closely working with: Dan and Kim. They meet weekly with the technical and programming team across WORM to help realise many wonderful, experimental, small and large scale projects.

Who are you:
As an intern you will be assisting Dan and Kim – attending meetings, taking notes, communicating with the whole WORM team, and joining events while they take place to make sure every production goes smoothly. We want someone who is passionate, willing to learn, and self-sufficient. You are an organised person and enjoy bringing structure and order to the creative and experimental programs. You like working with both experienced and up and coming artists and get energy from realising crazy ideas. Students only.

What will you be doing?

• attending weekly production and technical meetings, taking notes.
• preparing hospitality needs for all events (weekly)
• checking over events weekly
• making hotel bookings alongside the production team.
• artist-handling and handling productions during events

What can you expect to learn?

• Gain technical knowledge from working industry standard audio and visual equipment to experimental sound and visuals.
• Working and learning how to use Stager (ticketing and production tool).
• Work with many experimental artists from performance to sound and visuals – this means a lot of strange and exciting requests to learn from and about.
• Attend all events at WORM for free – a whole wealth of knowledge for your visual and audio needs!
