Roots & Riddims #2

For the second year in a row, Roots & Riddims returns as a gathering space for Black expression, ancestral connection, and collective celebration. A night of music and culture bringing Surinamese, Cabo Verdean, Angolan and Caribbean diasporas together.

As part of Rotterdam’s Summer Carnival, cultural selectors Raziyah Heath (Chinnamasta), Frederik Teixeira, and Epifania Queta bring together communities through an evening of music, connection, and celebration. Inspired by the sounds and cultures of the Dutch Caribbean, Cape Verde, Angola, Curaçao, Suriname, Jamaica, and others, Roots & Riddims creates space for artists and audiences to meet across borders and generations.
