One of the pioneers of Rio funk and achieving rapid success with her lyrics that combine comedy and eroticism. She was one of the first funk singers to work together with international artists such as Diplo, M.I.A, Buraka Som Sistema and several producers outside Brazil. Deize has already performed four very successful tours across Europe, the last being in 2023. On 26th of July we’ll be doing a filmscreening of the short documentary "Bete & Deise" where she stars in and a Q&A with Dutch artist wendelien van oldenburgh, followed by a performance of Deize Tigrona & 20 Uñas. Rotterdam DJ Nivek will close off the night with a DJ set.
In "Bete & Deise," two influential women in Rio de Janeiro—actress and political activist Bete Mendes and Funk Carioca star Deize Tigrona—share their journeys of establishing public voices in their respective fields. As they discuss their experiences and challenges, the film explores the complexities and contradictions of their lives in the public eye.

Ponchi Creación is a performance duo based in Puerto Rico that focuses on creating foam rubber sculptures to be brought to life. These sculptures, created to be manipulated by the human body or parts of it, with some as small as a coin and others as large as cars, are tools for creating whimsical power that stains reality. In their ritual/shows they attempt through a series of unorthodox methods to convince the audience that everything is possible.
