We have an opening for a Production/Technical Intern at WORM. Starting this coming September. If you have a <3 for production and making things happen and want to gain hands-on experience in a stimulating and exciting environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Please send a mail with your CV and motivation letter to production@worm.org
Important to note:
Want to learn inside one of Rotterdam’s most experimental cultural institutions? At WORM, internships are not isolated within one department. While each intern follows a dedicated learning trajectory with a supervisor and develops role-specific skills, you’ll also become part of the institution as a whole. You’ll work across departments, meet different teams and contribute to daily office life.
This means that alongside your own responsibilities, you might help welcome visitors, answer phones, join collective assignments, participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, support public moments, and spend time working together around our shared office table.
All interns follow an onboarding process at the beginning of the internship to get to know WORM, the team and our way of working.
Practical requirements:
— Applicants should live in or around Rotterdam
— A BSN number and Dutch bank account are required
— We primarily offer internships to students enrolled in educational institutions, but we also welcome self-taught makers and students from non-formal education paths
— WORM follows the CAO NPF
— Internship allowance: €375/month based on a full-time internship (38h/week), compensated proportionally to hours worked
What you’ll learn as a Production intern:
— All aspects of event development and production
— Communicate clearly and efficiently
— Use Stager (internal ticketing and production tool)
— Basics of light and sound technology
— Working knowledge of technical riders
— Planning, time management and scheduling
Tasks:
— Support the production and tech team
— Support the WORM artists and programming team
— Organise information and requests for planned events
— Communicating hospitality needs for all events
— Work as a stagehand/artist handler on selected events
— Attending weekly production and technical meetings
What we’re looking for:
— Strong interest in production/technical production
— Comfortable working on multiple projects at once
— Strong attention to detail
— Independent but collaborative working style
— Interest in arts, nightlife, performance or experimental culture
