Teun de Booij vertrekt bij WORM en maakt overstap naar Cultuur Concreet

Teun de Booij zal per 1 juni 2026 zijn functie als Zakelijk Directeur-Bestuurder van WORM neerleggen en de overstap maken naar Cultuur Concreet. Cultuur Concreet is een intermediaire organisatie, die zich al 25 jaar op unieke wijze inzet voor cultuur dichtbij, in alle wijken van Rotterdam.

In zijn periode bij WORM heeft Teun zich ingezet voor de verdere ontwikkeling van de organisatie in een dynamische context. Samen met Artistiek Directeur Charlien Adriaenssens was hij onder andere verantwoordelijk voor de totstandkoming en uitvoering van de nieuwe beleidsperiode ‘the ultimate playground’ en de structurele ondersteuning
ervan vanuit de gemeente Rotterdam en het Ministerie van OC&W.

Teun de Booij: “WORM is een bijzondere plek met een sterke artistieke identiteit en een grote betrokkenheid van medewerkers en makers. Ik kijk met veel waardering terug op de samenwerking en de stappen die we hebben gezet. Tegelijkertijd kijk ik ernaar uit om mijn ervaring in te zetten bij Cultuur Concreet en vanuit een nieuwe rol bij te dragen aan cultuur dichtbij bewoners van diverse wijken in onze stad.”

De Raad van Toezicht van WORM spreekt haar waardering uit voor de inzet van Teun en wenst hem veel succes in zijn nieuwe rol: “De Raad van Toezicht is Teun dankbaar voor zijn inzet voor WORM in de afgelopen jaren. In een dynamische periode voor de organisatie heeft hij zich met grote betrokkenheid ingezet voor de verdere zakelijke ontwikkeling van WORM en voor de totstandkoming en uitvoering van de nieuwe beleidsperiode. Wij kijken met waardering terug op de samenwerking. Het is fijn dat hij behouden blijft voor de cultuursector van Rotterdam, en we wensen hem veel succes in zijn nieuwe functie bij Cultuur Concreet.”

As of June 1, 2026, Teun de Booij will step down from his position as Managing Director of WORM and make the move to Cultuur Concreet. Cultuur Concreet is an intermediary organisation that, for the last 25 years, has been specifically committed to bringing culture closer to Rotterdammers in all districts of the city.

During his time at WORM, Teun dedicated himself to the further development of the organisation in a dynamic context. Together with Artistic Director Charlien Adriaenssens, he was responsible for, among other things, the creation and implementation of the new policy period ‘The Ultimate Playground’ and its structural support from the Municipality of Rotterdam and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

I look back with great appreciation on this collaboration, and the steps we have taken. At the same time, I look forward to applying my experience at Cultuur Concreet and, from a new role, contributing to bringing culture close to residents of diverse districts in our city.”

The Supervisory Board of WORM expresses its appreciation for Teun’s dedication and wishes him much success in his new role: “The Supervisory Board is grateful to Teun for his commitment to WORM over the past years.
