The Art Gang Expo Project – 2026

Art-Gang en WORM organiseren weer in 2026 een expo traject van 3 maanden waar 15 jongeren de kans krijgen om een kunstwerk of performance te maken voor een expo en performance avond.

Wat kun je verwachten?
– Deelnemers krijgen begeleiding bij het maken van hun persoonlijke kunstwerk of performance. Deze werken worden getoond in een 4 daagse expositie en performance avond in WORM. Ze krijgen hulp bij het plannen, bedenken en maken van hun werk en helpen elkaar doormiddel van samenwerkingen en feedback.

– Deelnemers worden verwacht om rond de 6 uur per week te besteden tussen september en november. Hierbij zitten activiteiten zoals workshops, excursies, plannen, zelfstandig werken, sociale activiteiten, de expo op- en afbouwen, bij de expo aanwezig zijn enzovoort. (Alle activiteiten zullen plaatsvinden in Rotterdam).

– Deelnemers komen elke woensdagavond van 17:00-20:00 bij elkaar voor workshops, om aan hun kunst te werken, performance te oefenen, feedback te krijgen en te geven en voor de gezelligheid.

– Je hoeft geen enkele ervaring te hebben met kunst of exposities om mee te doen. Zo lang je geïnteresseerd bent, creatief en betrokken, ben je welkom om je in te schrijven. (En je moet onder de 30 jaar zijn).

Belangrijke data:
– Deadline aanmelding – 23 februari
– Deelnemers selectie – uiterlijk 2 maart
– Het traject begint op 18 maart en zal eindigen op 10 juni. De expo neemt plaats van 3 t/m 6 juni en de performance avond zal plaatvinden op 5 juni.

Art-Gang and WORM are offering 15 young people the chance to create a new artwork or a performance in a supportive community over a three-month period in 2026.

What to expect?
– Participants will be given guidance in creating their own artwork or performance, shown in a professional exhibition and event setting, with assistance in planning, curating and making, while they also help one another.

– Participants will be expected to spend roughly 6 hours per week on the project, between September and November. Activities will include workshops, excursions, planning, independent work, social activities, building the expo up and taking it down, being present at the expo and more. (All events will take place in Rotterdam.)

– Participants will come together every Wednesday night 17:00-20:00 to do workshops, practice, create, give feedback and hang out.

– You don’t have to have any experience with art or exhibitions before this, as long as you are creative, curious and dedicated, you’re welcome to sign up! (And you have to be younger than 30 years old).
