Together with IFFR, WORM have put together a new iteration of sound//vision for the 2026 edition of the legendary festival.
In the last weekend of January we present six programs at WORM, exploring where image and sound collide and transform. Three of these dive into the materiality of perception itself: AI-reprocessed travel footage suspended between documentation and hallucination, hydrophones frozen in ice capturing their own disintegration alongside rituals of flesh and suspension, and human traces pressed directly into film emulsion asking whether a shadow can become a form of life. Bodies, landscapes, and light in constant states of becoming.
The program is fully co-curated by IFFR and WORM and runs over three nights, from Friday 30th January to Sunday 1st February, with two performances per evening.
*IFFR 2026 will also present a shorts Focus programme dedicated to Tetsuya Maruyama
