Want to work in WORM’s busy PR department?

Here’s what we need.

We are looking for someone who lives and breathes the arts and the counterculture.  Someone who is active, inquisitive and likes to visit – and document – our events. And someone who can get their friends to where the party is. Pro skills in Adobe Creative Cloud is a must. And good writing skills (English and Dutch) and a strong sense of aesthetics are vital.

If you fit that profile, then we are searching for you!

WORM’s internships are always fun, but also intensive. You will be an important part of our team, with a lot of responsibility. You will be working every day on your craft with the PR team as well as other curators and programmers to create the visual and written content for each event. WORM’s programme is very diverse, with up to 35 events per week. So be warned: you have to be hardworking and not afraid to learn from your mistakes along the way (we all do that).

We can offer you:
– A supporting creative environment where you can develop your skills
– A place where you can also develop personal projects
– Access to a vast international network of diverse cultural workers
– A wage of 150 euro per month, for a 40 hour working week
– Free coffee and tea
– Free entrance to all our events
– And a discount on food and drink at #Wunderbar!

What is WORM?
WORM is the “Institute for Avantgardistic Recreation” in Rotterdam. We have a strong tradition of creating unique programming in the fields of music, film, performance and visual arts. WORM is a well-known venue for touring and international DIY artists, whether musicians and filmmakers, performers and visual artists. WORM is located at Boomgaardsstraat 71, in the heart of the city.

What does WORM do?
WORM champions (and boasts a strong relationship with) the counterculture and DIY ethics. Our programme consists of concerts, club nights, performances, exhibitions and happenings, debates, film nights and multi-festivals. In addition, there are several maker spaces; such as WORM Sound Studio, the Filmwekplaats, the WORM Pirate Bay archive and UBIK performance space; where local and international artists create productions. Food and drink is another important part of our culture: we have our own bar and terrace.

To apply please send us an email with your CV, short motivation letter and examples of your work via info@worm.org.
