Non For Profit Art Party 2020

De counter-place-to-meet tijdens Art Rotterdam; de Not For Profit Art Party: het offstage podium waar experimenten en nieuwe vormen van exposeren worden gestimuleerd. Artist Impressions
“Last week residents, artists and visitors merged into one curious, seeking, vibrant crowd at Pension Almonde! Giving a real Alice in Wonderland feel: we explored apartments through a hole in the wall, basements and attics were transformed into artistic universes. During the day artists and performers engaged with the audience. We saw I Was Abstracted by Masha Somik, presented by Extrapool, and Possessed by Dark Lovers at the preview of “The Repossessed” shown by WORM X VHDG, and played music on a light instrument created by the Xpub Piet Zwart Students.

In the evening the building transformed and secret bars opened their doors! Living rooms and kitchens turned into dance floors where DJs and musicians helped everyone dance the night away. I was asking myself am I in Rotterdam, Berlin, or NYC?

WORM and our partner organisations were not competing, or trying to outshine one another. It was a symbiosis of love for artistic development, community thinking and the will to create, despite financial difficulties and impossibility to be part of the main fair taking place in the city!

Actually it was glorious! We hope to continue our work with Pension Almonde, we very much recommend the coffee, cakes and food of Keju Kitchen! And Nova (the daughter of the owner) can draw like no other!”
