Cultfilm meets TEC ART: Forbidden Planet (1956)

Logging on to TEC ART mothership...

(Fred M. Wilcox, 1956, USA, 98 min, colour)

“Bleep bleep…

…Cultfilm to TEC ART

        Bleep bleep..."

Cultfilm and TEC ART are proud to present one of the early MGM greats that has both passed the test of time and exceeds most of the early sci-fi and horror films of its decade. Forbidden Planet has a decent screenplay, state-of-the-art special effects and a build-up of tension that other films of that period lack.

A starship crew led by Adams goes to investigate the silence of a planet’s scientist colony only to find two survivors and the deadly secret that one of them holds.

Dr. Morbius and his daughter Altaira have somehow survived a hideous monster, which roams the planet.

Unknown to Adams, Morbius has made a discovery, and has no intention of sharing it (or his daughter!) with anyone.

And… Leslie Nielsen in a funny non-comedy role amazing!
