Bernays Propaganda (MK) – Postponed

20:30
WORM

NOTE! This event is postponed until further notice, in line with the new Corona Virus regulations.

Hun laatste plaat is ‘2nd Youth, 3th World War’.

Skopje-based disco post-punk anarchists (and WORM favourites and fellow travellers), Bernays Propaganda are one of the region’s most successful and internationally acclaimed underground music acts. So far, the band has released five critically appraised full-lengths (“Happiness Machines”, 2009; “My Personal Holiday”, 2010; “Zabraneta Planeta”, 2013; “Politika”, 2016, “Vtora mladost, treta svetska vojna, 2019).

Bernays Propaganda once again regroup around a new sound to face the new challenges the world throws up. In September 2019 they released 5th full-length album with the well-timed title ‘Vtora mladost, treta svetska vojna’ (2nd Youth, 3rd World War), which has received rave reviews in the international press.. Defined by catchy pop songwriting and stripped-down production, the album inventively blends influences of late 70s and early 80s post-punk, new wave, alternative rock, Detroit electro, Balkan and African folk music. Skeletal dance-punk and electro grooves are combined with minimalist bass riffs, pulsating synth lines and Kristina’s spellbinding voice and lyrics, resulting in a hip-shaking mixture of dancefloor and protest anthems.

Dance, clap, sing and celebrate civil disobedience, human rights and freedom! Bernays Propaganda are inviting us to a politically engaged dance!

Bernays Propaganda are:
Kristina Gorovska – vocal
Vasko Atanasoski – guitar
Deni Krstev – guitar, rhythm programming, synth
